This property is absolutely beautiful! There was so much yo do and the cabin was in excellent shape. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

This was our second time staying here and it was even better than the first time! This place is near and dear to our hearts. It’s so relaxing, peaceful and a great place to unwind and decompress from the everyday stress of life. Loved sitting outside during the day and enjoying the hot tub on chilly nights. Will definitely keep coming back here! Always hard to leave.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!! Absolutely beautiful property! The jacuzzi was amazing, the entire outdoors was so beautiful and peaceful. There’s so much land around to take a nice walk, or just hangout by the creek right outside in the gazebo. Everything about this place was great!!! The cabin itself was super clean, super cozy. Would recommend 10/10 . I will definitely be back!

Shady creek is our new favorite spot. The house was clean, modern, and had everything we might need for a comfortable stay. Crossing the creek/ driveway was no big deal. Actually kind of fun! My dog loved the creek and property trail, she didn’t want to leave. The kitchen is stocked for cooking, just grab groceries and aluminum foil! Close enough to Boone for shopping and eating. Leaving the Airbnb was so hard, we’ve already been discussing going back! Side note: we saw a mama bear and 2 cubs cross the road in front of the Airbnb. No surprise there, this is bear country and they are trying to fatten up before winter. Also, hiking the trails we heard a pack of coyotes in the middle of the day “crying, yelping” we think they were trying to lure our dog to their den. I would advise to keep your pups on a leash. I wouldn’t expect anything else. We are encroaching on their territory. Just be wildlife aware, and safe. Looking forward to next time!

Absolutely stunning! The pictures don’t do this location justice! We had an amazingly relaxing long weekend at the cabin in Purlear! The creek & the fire pit we’re my favorite part! Our puppy loved all the free land and splashes in the creek! Everything is within 30/40min and we hopped on the Blue Ridge Pkwy for breathtaking views! We stood home a full day to experience the full relaxation of the cabin – made use of the full kitchen and grill! We hit up the hot tub twice everyday lol just such a great time and we felt completely safe the entire time! Honestly we’re looking forward to booking/staying here again!

This was the perfect getaway after a very stressful few months. Being able to walk out the front door and go on a hike with our dog was the highlight of our stay. But this place had so much more to offer. We had a blast hanging out near the creek, cozying up around the firepit, and relaxing in the hot tub. Lounging on the screened in patio while enjoying our morning coffee was a big plus as well.

This cabin will forever hold a special place in our heart. Remote enough with grocery, etc close by, unbeatable view and creek access and the home was just lovely. We look forward to staying again.

Beautiful setting. Very clean. Only problem was that the air conditioning quit working and the dryer was also not functioning. Other than that, all was well.

My family enjoyed the privacy very much. Having the creek to ourselves was the best part. Put up a hammock and spent all day outside. Everything was clean and very nicely laid out.

We had such a great time here. Very secluded & private, enjoying the beautiful sounds of the creek and nature. The house was very cute and loaded with anything you may need for your stay. Absolutely loved sitting on the screened in porch in the mornings enjoying coffee and breakfast and chilling by the fire pit, and in the hot tub in the evenings. We also took full advantage of the corn hole boards each night! Our doggies had a wonderful time running around and playing in the creek as well! The concrete pad to cross the driveway was underwater the whole stay (as stated in description) but we had no issues passing in an SUV. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin and the property are gorgeous. The beds are SUPER comfy. Bathroom is large and the kitchen is very well equipped. It’s about 25 minutes to Boone and tons of fabulous restaurants. We were there for the All-Star race. Super convenient to Wilkesboro and more shopping and restaurants. We also took 2 day trips to sightsee. Lots to do within a short drive either way. We will definitely be back.

This is our second time staying here. It was our 40th anniversary. Such a peaceful place. We enjoyed afternoons in Boone, and evenings in the hot tub. A great place to vacation.

This was an absolutely lovely place to stay. It was cozy and Charming while being luxurious and upscale. Absolutely perfect for people with fur babies with lots of space to run and play, the river being a natural barrier to going too far, with a wonderful kitchen, hot tub, and TVs in every room, as well as a game room area and very nice bathroom. We had to bring everything upstairs as the living area and bedrooms are up a staircase from the ground level, so that may affect people with mobility issues wanting to stay here. We did have a truck so we were able to get across the concrete pad which had the river rushing over it but it was still nerve-racking. With a car, with low ground clearance as they say, it would be even sketchier. But this overall was an absolutely beautiful gem at a very affordable price with a lovely story and history to the house and propert
