How does a Dry-Flush toilet work

This is the latest technology in non-traditional toilets. Like a Diaper Genie, waste is vacuum sealed in a mylar material, after each use. You go, push the button, and it electronically does the rest. You can leave liquid waste for several uses before pushing the button. There is no mess and no smell from the wrapped waste. It works and looks like a traditional toilet. There is a pull chain light in the bath. Please turn off light after use.

How do I open the A-frame swing wall?

We installed a hand crank cable system to simplify opening the swing wall. It takes only 7 pounds of pressure to crank up the wall. Here are the steps with pictures, it’s simple but I’m giving lots of detail:

  • Unhook the clamp from the cable at floor level
  • Pull the latch at the bottom of the hand crank towards the A-frame
  • Pull out some slack to hook the clamp to the bottom of the swing wall
  • Push the latch on the hand crank to a straight down position to crank wall up
  • Slowly crank wall up so that the cable stop is just about touching the pulley above
  • For additional safety, remove clip from the locking bar attached to deck (don’t lose)
  • Raise locking bar to top of swing wall, adjust swing wall so locking bar fits it bracket with hand crank
  • Place pin through bracket and locking bar, lock into place with clip (You may adjust pin by hand or hand crank to align pin slightly with hole)
  • Reverse procedure to crank wall back down
  • SAFETY: unexpected storms and winds happen, so always close wall if gone for an hour or more or storm

* GLAMPING GENERAL QUESTIONS

Is it easy to get to the site?

Yes, reaching the Transforming A-Frame or Geodome is easy. Once you turn off Highway 421 on to Fall Creek Road, you have a 7 minute, very scenic drive. You will see our address sign, 2598 Fall Creek Road, sign on your right, and a small house on the left, where you will turn onto a gravel driveway and park in the wider lot. The A-frame is about 250 feet back on flat ground. Follow the back trail and it dead ends into the A-frame. If at night, you absolutely need a flash light. There will be some lights along the trail and motion lights at the A-frame. The Geodome is closer, about 100 feet in, on the front trail. Four wheel drive vehicles are not necessary but come in handy is there is snow.

I am not a camper, what should I expect?

In a nutshell, you will have a comfortable bed, some water to drink, a bathroom, a gas grill to cook and a water warmer for coffee. You will be immersed in nature beside the creek, listening to the sound of the creek, enjoying a fire pit. You will not have air conditioning but will have a small fan, a screen window and screen door that allows a cross breeze, as well as a wall you can open up. Though you are in an enclosed structure, with a mosquito net, you will see bugs. If any bugs are a no go for you, glamping may not be for you. It’s an adventure and a great setting to relax and unwind.

What is glamping?

Called luxurious camping, which means an upscaled camping experience. A glamping site is a type of accommodation that combines the best of both worlds: the great outdoors and many of the comforts of home. If you have camped before, our Geodome or A-frame is a simplified experience with more amenities.

Glamping is a great way to experience the outdoors without having to rough it. It’s the perfect option for families, couples, and groups of friends who want to enjoy the great outdoors without sacrificing all their creature comforts or bring a lot of equipment. We send you a list of what you need to bring and the amenities that we supply, enjoy!
